Cutter & Stitcher

While working on a sketch comedy production, I had the opportunity to construct a range of stylized, character-driven costumes. I modified purchased shirts to create a more distinctive “emo” aesthetic for a themed sketch incorporating custom alterations and detailing.

I added piping to another purchased shirt for the “DJ Crawlspace” sketch.

I also sewed and drafted original patterns to create “Major Freeze” and used custom-printed fabric featuring an actor’s face to create the “Guled Face Suit.”

Buyer

In addition to serving as a cutter, I took on the role of costume buyer for an Alberta-themed sketch, sourcing garments and accessories that authentically reflected the region’s aesthetic. This involved researching visual references, shopping within budget constraints, and selecting pieces that supported both the comedic tone and character development.
